Mindfulness…What is it and why is it an important practice? Thanks to the dictionary here is a wonderful way to describe what it is: a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
Why is it important to practice? In my opinion, practicing mindfulness techniques improves our physical, mental, and emotional health. I have been practicing and learning more about the topic over the past two years and it has changed and improved many areas of my life.
