“Mindfulness” is a skill that can be taught, learned, practiced, and developed.
When we practice mindfulness, we intentionally focus our attention on our sensory experience as it unfolds moment by moment. This is done with an attitude of openness, curiosity, and compassion toward what is arising in the present, whether pleasant or unpleasant.
FACTS teaches a variety of mindfulness techniques that overtime when practiced will assist with the following bit not limited to:
-Bringing awareness to our feelings
-Focus and attention
-Handling difficult emotions
-Caring for ourselves and others
-Not being judgmental
